Characteristics of the PTFE pipe automatic flanging equipment?

The automatic flanging equipment for PTFE pipes is a polymer formed by the polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene monomers. It resembles polyethylene in appearance, appearing as a transparent or opaque waxy material with a density of 2.2g/cm³ and a water absorption rate of less than 0.01%. Its chemical structure is similar to polyethylene, except that all hydrogen atoms in polyethylene are replaced by fluorine atoms. Due to the high bond energy of the C-F bond and its stable performance, it exhibits excellent chemical corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding all strong acids (including aqua regia), as well as strong oxidizers, reducing agents, and various organic solvents—except for molten alkali metals, fluoride media, and sodium hydroxide at temperatures above 300°C. The symmetrical arrangement of fluorine atoms in the PTFE pipe automatic flanging equipment's molecules, along with the covalent bonding of carbon and fluorine in the C-F bond and the absence of free electrons in the molecule, renders the entire molecule neutral. Consequently, it possesses outstanding dielectric properties, with its electrical insulation unaffected by environmental conditions or frequency. Its volume resistivity exceeds 10¹⁷ ohm·cm?

m, with low dielectric loss, high breakdown voltage, and excellent arc resistance, can operate reliably in electrical environments up to 250°C. Due to the absence of hydrogen bonds and symmetrical molecular structure in PTFE, it exhibits high crystallinity (typically 55%~75%, sometimes reaching 94%), which enhances the thermal stability of PTFE pipe automatic flanging equipment. The melting temperature is 324°C, decomposition temperature is 415°C, maximum service temperature is 250°C, embrittlement temperature is -190°C, and the heat deflection temperature (under 0.46MPa) is 120°C. The mechanical properties of PTFE pipe automatic flanging equipment are favorable, with tensile strength of 21~28MPa, flexural strength of 11~14MPa, and elongation of 250%~300%. The dynamic and static friction coefficients against steel are both 0.04, lower than those of nylon, polyoxymethylene, and polyester plastics.
