Image-based QR code scanners use image sensors to convert optical images into digital signals, with LEDs as the light source. The biggest advantages of image-based scanners are their small size, relatively low cost, and durable integrated design. Optical imaging results in a lower error rate when reading barcodes. The QR code image is input into the scanner, decoded by internal software, and several geometric shapes corresponding to binary numbers represent textual and numerical information. This information is then automatically processed by image input devices or photoelectric scanning devices; in essence, image analysis is fixed in the hardware. The biggest advantage of image-based scanners is that they can read barcodes and scan QR codes simultaneously.

• Image-based QR code scanners offer good reading performance for damaged or blurry barcodes.

• Image-based QR code scanners can read screen barcodes, paper barcodes, reflective barcodes, and barcodes with water stains.

• Image-based QR code scanners are highly durable, generally employing a one-piece structure with no moving parts, providing good shock and drop resistance.

• Utilizing image-based reading technology, they can read barcodes on various electronic screens and perform mobile payment scanning.

• Low error rate: Image-based scanners use optical imaging to read barcodes, resulting in a lower error rate.

• Image-based QR code scanners can read various color barcodes.

• Image-based QR code scanners have a low performance degradation rate and a long service life.
